{"id":9346,"date":"2026-04-07T13:55:03","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T17:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.cga.ct.gov\/CGATrain\/?page_id=9346"},"modified":"2026-05-14T08:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T12:16:10","slug":"leadership-master-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.cga.ct.gov\/CGATrain\/leadership-master-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Leadership Mastery Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Leadership Mastery Project (LMP) is an opportunity for individuals completing the <strong><em>Genius Certificate for Leadership Mastery<\/em><\/strong> to organize, host, or facilitate an event at the CGA that has a wide impact for our organization. The LMP must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The LMP is outside of the staff member&#8217;s standard job criteria and has not been done by this staff member in the past three years.<\/li>\n<li>The LMP stretches the staff member&#8217;s abilities and can easily be identified as a growth opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>The LMP engages or is offered community-wide or to large segments of the CGA community.<\/li>\n<li>The LMP is identified and approved by Learning &amp; Development before it is executed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Learning &amp; Development encourages staff to think outside of the box and brainstorm ideas for their Leadership Mastery Project. Below are a few examples to help spark ideas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/wp.cga.ct.gov\/CGATrain\/hot-topics\/\">Host a Hot Topic Discussion<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>in partnership with Learning &amp; Development.<\/li>\n<li>Be an active planner in partnership with appropriate offices and committees in CGA events such as \u201cHands Across the Hall,\u201d wellness events, other team building or staff engagement opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Work in partnership with Human Resources to research and write a series of articles for publication in <em>The Assembly On-Line<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Work in partnership with the CGA Internship Office \/ Community Outreach to volunteer at a community service event.
