Connecticut State Capitol Tours

The Democracy Game

Through the American Democracy Game, you can put yourself in the shoes of a lawmaker and find out what it is like to deal with public policy issues. Discover the different interests on each side of a public policy issue and learn how negotiation and compromise can lead to a good result.

This online game, recently relaunched, was developed by NCSL for middle school students and includes teacher guides and information.

The publication How A Bill Becomes A Law In Connecticut will be provided to all tour participants. Other brochures, such as: State of Connecticut Sites, Seals, Symbols , will be distributed one per class. These are provided free of charge.
