Stephanie is a Commission Analyst at the Commission on Racial Equity in Public Health. She is an experienced researcher in the public policy and public administration space. Prior to her current role, she was a Presidential Management Fellow appointed at the Internal Revenue Service as a Social Scientist. At the IRS, she conducted both quantitative and qualitative operational research to analyze tax administration programs and taxpayer demographics. Federal executives then used this research to improve IRS policies, programs, and procedures.
While earning her master’s in Public Policy & Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Stephanie researched several policy issues related to public health, race/ethnicity, or the intersection of the two. Beyond her work in research and public policy, she has prior experience in post-secondary administration and the captive lending industry.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has added a litany of research methodologies to her toolbelt, and she is excited to bring them with her to CREPH. She has a passion for using data to inform better decision-making, and she is excited to harvest that passion and her expertise to support Connecticut and its residents.
