{"id":2804,"date":"2018-01-08T19:30:00","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T00:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.cga.ct.gov\/cwcseo\/?p=2804"},"modified":"2022-12-27T10:02:01","modified_gmt":"2022-12-27T15:02:01","slug":"hope-for-success-a-look-at-unemployment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.cga.ct.gov\/cwcseo\/2018\/01\/08\/hope-for-success-a-look-at-unemployment\/","title":{"rendered":"Hope For Success : A Look at Unemployment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Commission on Equity and Opportunity was commissioned to research, analyze and submit reports to the CT General Assembly regarding employment opportunities and housing options for persons re-entering the community after incarceration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission researched employment opportunities for the formerly incarcerated; gathered and studied data from interviews with persons who were formerly incarcerated and released a report:&nbsp;<em>Hope For Success \u2013 A Look at Employment Opportunities For The Reentry Community<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission also spearheaded a formal statewide legislative dialogue about housing options for persons re-entering the community after incarceration. \u201cListening Tours\u201d were held around the state seeking feedback from people reentering the community about their experiences seeking permanent housing.
