Economic Impact of COVID-19 on Connecticut\u2019s Women"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are pleased to share with you the data report of \u201cThe Economic Impact of COVID-19 on Connecticut\u2019s Women\u201d that the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women in Connecticut launched.&nbsp; PCSW surveyed over 1,000 women and collected thousands of pieces of data on categories such as work and pay, housing and food security, healthcare and health, personal safety, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>26.5%<\/strong>&nbsp;were&nbsp;<strong>furloughed or lost their jobs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>66.1%<\/strong>&nbsp;of those with dependent children experienced an&nbsp;<strong>impairment of their ability to work<\/strong>&nbsp;due to home demands (lack of childcare, children in remote school)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>49.8%<\/strong>&nbsp;reported a negative mental health impact from COVID-19<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>14.1%<\/strong>&nbsp;were in a&nbsp;<strong>domestic violence&nbsp;situation<\/strong>, which for<strong>&nbsp;49.8%&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>developed or got worse&nbsp;<\/strong>due to COVID-19<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please see
