They will speak with fellow students, families, teachers, and the public about their platforms, how kids can get involved, their terms in office, and how fifth graders can participate in the Kid Governor\u00ae program. The events are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The 2026 Library Circuit schedule is<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 6:00 pm<\/span> &#8211; <strong>North Haven Memorial Library<\/strong><br>Kid Governor Tessa will be accompanied by Cabinet Member Ajla Reci of Wethersfield.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11:00 am <\/span>&#8211; <strong>Ridgefield Library<\/strong><br>Kid Governor Tessa will be accompanied by Cabinet Member Samuel James of Hartford.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm<\/span> &#8211; <strong>Newfield Branch Library, Bridgeport<\/strong>.<br>Kid Governor Tessa will be accompanied by Cabinet Member Alyvia Stoddard of Stafford.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10:00 am<\/span> &#8211; <strong>South Windsor Public Library<br><\/strong>Kid Governor Tessa will be accompanied by Cabinet Members Dylan Ellis of East Windsor and Myra Ruparel of Ellington.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 12:30 pm &#8211; <strong>Raymond Library, East Hartford<\/strong><br>Kid Governor Tessa will be accompanied by Cabinet Member Nana Appau of Manchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, Tessa has been focused on advancing her \u201cEveryone Belongs\u201d platform which addresses inclusion for students with disabilities. Her Cabinet members have been eagerly advancing their own platforms that address community issues important to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cKid Governor Tessa and her Cabinet Members have been working hard on their platforms to empower kids to make a difference in our state,\u201d said Linda Preston, Connecticut\u2019s Kid Governor<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> State Coordinator at The Connecticut Democracy Center. \u201cVisiting these five libraries is a unique opportunity for kids and adults alike to meet these student leaders in person and to learn how they too can serve communities throughout Connecticut!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a><\/a><strong>Connecticut\u2019s Kid Governor<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> is an award-winning civic education program created by The Connecticut Democracy Center in residence at Connecticut\u2019s Old State House. This ground-breaking approach to civics education immerses fifth-grade students in learning about state government, elections and voting, and civic participation through a real-life election for their state\u2019s Kid Governor.
