The Black and Puerto Rican Caucus is the most powerful Caucus in the legislature and every issue is a BPRC issue. As we move forward into the long session, it is important we see our stake in everything that comes before the legislature. I look forward to working with Chairwoman Miller to ensure that any impact, social or economic, that affects our communities does so positively.
The Connecticut Legislative Black and Puerto Rican Caucus was formed in 1976 to promote and assist minorities in becoming more actively involved in the political process, and in attaining political office, and to raise the economic potential for minorities and empowerment of the minority community in the state.
