Megan Baker

Legislative Policy Analyst

Megan Baker, Lead Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Policy Analyst oversees the AAPI policy division and Subcommission for the CWCSEO. She works as a liaison with state officials, policymakers, and community stakeholders around legislative initiatives that seek to enhance meaningful opportunities for AAPI residents across Connecticut. Combining this work with her background in mixed-methods research, she is deeply committed to telling AAPI stories through data equity and inclusion.

She is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where she earned BAs in Political Science and History, while minoring in English with a concentration in Literature, as well as her Master’s in Political Science (MPS). Her academic expertise lies in civic and electoral impact research. 

In addition to her work at the Connecticut General Assembly, Megan is also an adjunct instructor at the University of New Haven’s Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. Her course focuses on engaging college students in questions and ideas centered around public service.
