The Leadership Mastery Project (LMP) is an opportunity for individuals completing the Genius Certificate for Leadership Mastery to organize, host, or facilitate an event at the CGA that has a wide impact for our organization. The LMP must meet the following criteria:
- The LMP is outside of the staff member’s standard job criteria and has not been done by this staff member in the past three years.
- The LMP stretches the staff member’s abilities and can easily be identified as a growth opportunity.
- The LMP engages or is offered community-wide or to large segments of the CGA community.
- The LMP is identified and approved by Learning & Development before it is executed.
Learning & Development encourages staff to think outside of the box and brainstorm ideas for their Leadership Mastery Project. Below are a few examples to help spark ideas:
- Host a Hot Topic Discussion in partnership with Learning & Development.
- Be an active planner in partnership with appropriate offices and committees in CGA events such as “Hands Across the Hall,” wellness events, other team building or staff engagement opportunities.
- Work in partnership with Human Resources to research and write a series of articles for publication in The Assembly On-Line.
- Work in partnership with the CGA Internship Office / Community Outreach to volunteer at a community service event. Examples include interview sessions at local high schools, mock session, new internship training, etc.
