Diversity AwarenessWorkplace Violence Prevention (WPVP), Sexual Harassment Prevention (SHP), and Understanding Domestic Violence are the four mandatory training topics for all CGA staff.  To satisfy the required training, staff members take Diversity Awareness, WPVP, and Understanding Domestic Violence one time.  SHP is required every two years per the CGA Employee Handbook.

New staff members should take the CGA SHP class delivered through Learning & Development within their first 6 months of employment.  Every two years, thereafter, the class may be taken online through CHRO.

We encourage you to participate fully in each of these classes. We do, however, recognize that the topic matter may be difficult for some individuals. If you have concerns, please reach out to Molly.McAllister@cga.ct.gov.

To find out what classes you have completed, please log into HRConnectMy Reports and click on Learning & Development. There you will find where you stand with mandatory training and a list of all the classes you have completed through CGA Learning & Development.

Legislator requirements vary slightly. Please contact Molly.McAllister@cga.ct.gov to inquire.
