Rosemary López is the Women’s Legislative Policy Analyst for the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity (CWCSEO). In this role, she conducts policy research and legislative analysis to assess the impact of proposed and existing laws on the diverse populations of women across Connecticut. She collaborates with legislators, state agencies, community organizations, and advocacy partners to develop policy solutions that advance equity, improve outcomes, and expand opportunities for women and girls throughout the state.
Ms. López has extensive experience in public policy, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. Her work focuses on issues affecting women and families, including economic security, gender equity, human trafficking prevention, reproductive health, and the elimination of harmful practices in such as female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).
A resident of Newington, Connecticut, Ms. López also brings the perspective of a family caregiver, currently caring for her elderly parent. She is the proud mother of an adult daughter serving in the United States military and the grandmother of an 11-year-old granddaughter. These personal experiences further inform her commitment to advocating for policies that strengthen families, support caregivers, and improve opportunities across generations.
