We are all producers and users of data. It is an unavoidablepart of our modern digital lives. As we interact with other people, businesses, and even the government, our information is constantly being gathered bydifferent groups who can then use it to either help society or for their ownprofit. Are we in danger of becoming no more than clusters of information to becollected, whether it’s for our benefit or not? How do we as citizens andindividuals fit in this data-driven world?
These are some of the questions Dr. Wendy Wong tackles inher book: “We, the Data: Human Rights in the Digital Age.” Join us inconversation with Dr. Wong as we explore the reality of big data collection andits implications for society.
