Outstanding School
Cornwall Consolidated School, Cornwall
Congratulations to the 2023-2024 Outstanding School: Cornwall Consolidated School. CCS’ 7th graders led a project to bring attention to the challenges people with disabilities often face by: researching the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); learning beginner sign language and Braille; teaching 2nd graders elements of both forms of communication and about ADA; 3D-printing 70+ Braille signs and hanging them around CCS; creating a bulletin board about inclusivity and representation; suggesting new school library books featuring students with diverse abilities; updating handicapped parking spaces; and more.
